Our Gardens have been described by local residents as "Pembury's Hidden Gem".
Beautifully re-planted 6 years ago, its beginning to show its maturity.
With global warming apparently giving the British Isles more of a continental weather style – that is uninterrupted warm summer days - the hunt for a good Beer Garden to soak up those refreshing cool pints and to be able to eat al-fresco is over!
The Camden Arms is one of the best Beer and Food Gardens around!
With the smoking ban sending smokers into the pubs garden that outside space has become more important than ever.
We have a fixed covered terrace to sit under, should the clouds threaten, and a full width electrically operated canopy to keep those 'harmful' sun rays off the ones we love!. Our gardens also hols a secret - beyond the fence, we cultivate our own herbs, and vegetable, and
in the greenhouses twenty varieties of tomatoes, some peppers and chillis.
There is an abundance of tables, chairs and benches and no shortage of umbrellas.
The Hotel overlooks a private garden laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, and is not overlooked.
The gardens at the Camden Arms are a pleasure to relax in, at any time of the day or night. Especially during the summer months, the award winning flower displays are also an excellent backdrop for a meal, drinks or a function.
Pembury Parish Council runs an annual competition for local horticulture: 'Pembury in Bloom'.
The Camden Arms has won this competition for the past five years running in the 'commercial frontage' section.
